Muwei was born form the ashes of the late Bossal, which existed from 2001 to 2005. With the departure of it's drummer and keyboardist, came a change of  name and, basically, a change in  the  way to  deal  with  rhythmic  structures, now  explored  mostly  through  variations  in  texture  and  timbre of  the different  sound  sources. The current  line-up,  allowing great flexibility of  mood and density, includes Felipe Zenicola (bass / tapes), André Neme (sax / tapes), Daniel Amaral (guitar / tapes) and Nicolau Lafetá (trumpet). There is no hierarchy among musicians or instruments, being the main concern focused on the sound itself, despite whichever means or theories may be employed for that. Muwei can also be found here.
