BRYAN HOLMES (1981) is a Chilean composer graduated in Musical Sciences and Arts at Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile, where he studied composition and orchestration under Eduardo Cáceres. He also studied Philosophy at Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile, and since 2007 he courses a Master in Music at Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). He has composed for solo, chamber, choral, orchestral and electroacoustics, and his scores are published by PERIFERIA Sheet Music in Barcelona, Spain. He has worked with dance, theatre, films, radio, television and sound installations. The most prestigious festivals in Latin America have programmed his works and in 2004 he won the first prize in the Darwin Vargas Composition Competition. He has also acted as a contemporary music conductor, music producer and multi-instrumentist of experimental, electronic, ethno-folkloric and rock bands. | ||
